The first step I took was to replace my way of eating. I replaced fast food and sugary sweets with lean proteins and vegetables. I incorporated healthy fats into my eating plan. This included avocados, olive oil, nut butters, raw nuts, organic butter, and coconut oil. And last but not least, I drank plenty of water. I now make sure I drink water with every meal, and also between meals as well.
One of the quickest ways to lose ten pounds is to start exercising. I'll admit, this was not something I really wanted to do. But, I wanted to lose weight so badly, I was willing to do whatever it took. I started a workout regimen that included walking and light weight lifting. I do this for 30 minutes a day, three days a week. I know there are a lot of women who do not like to use weights in their routine, but it can build muscle and dissolve fat by raising the body's ability to metabolize food better.
After about 2 weeks of staying faithful to my routine, I began to see a change in my appearance and the way my clothes fit. My energy level started to increase, and to top it all off, I felt myself coming out of the depression I was in. I was finally doing something that was not only benefiting me physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
